摘要
翻译是一种跨文化交际活动。商务语篇的翻译目的是要使源语语篇的社会功能在译文语篇中得以充分的体现。译文语篇的连贯构建是保证语篇深层语义得以传达、语篇功能得以实现的重要一环。然而,源语作者和译语读者有着截然不同的文化背景知识结构,这直接影响到对语篇连贯的解读。因此,译者应通过必要的连贯策略,为译文读者营造新的文化语境,调整其背景知识结构,以实现译文语篇的连贯。
Translating, as an intercultural activity, aims to achieve in the target text, the functions of the source text. To achieve this purpose, construction of the target text’s coherence is essential. However, in intercultural text interpretation, because of different background knowledge, TL readers might misinterpret or even fail to understand the original text. Translation, viewed from this perspective, is a dynamic communicative process in which the translator provides TL readers with adequate background information to reconstruct text coherence. Therefore, the translator’s bicultural competence determines the quality of the translation.
