摘要
英汉使役心理动词按形态可分为四大类。本文采用Chomsky的“最简方案”理论,在充实Larson所提出的VP壳理论的基础上,解释使役心理动词结构的生成过程,并探视英汉使役心理动词结构的个性及在句法深层结构中的共性。本文同时指出,使役动词的语义由使役成分与词汇意义相互作用而成,词汇部分是否需要通过移位取得与使役成分的并合,则取决于二者之间的关系。
English and Chinese psych causative verbs fall into four broad categories. From the perspective of the Minimalist Program and with the enriched VP-shell theory, this paper attempts to explore the generating process of the syntactic structures of the causative psych verbs. Meanwhile, it looks into the syntactic particulars of these verbs in the two languages and their similarities in the deep structure. It points out that whether or not the causative element merges with the lexical element and moves to the upper VP, it depends on their interrelationships.
