摘要
英语听力课堂上学生的“注意”问题一直是困扰着我们的难题之一。为了能找到一种有效的解决问题的途径,我们采用问卷调查的方法对听力课堂上学生“注意”的情况进行了描述性的调查与研究,并基于对所得数据的统计与分析,提出了可以通过采用元语言解释、利用客观刺激物特点、改善主体本身的状态、借鉴“重新建构”(reconstruction)模式及培养学生自主学习等五个方面的努力,来引起与保持学生的高度“注意”。
Attention/noticing is a term commonly used in education, psychiatry and psychology. And it appears to be intimately tied to learning (Shiffrin & Schneider 1977). Although the research (in western countries) into noticing is still in its infancy, it has already shown its importance as a gateway to language learning. It should be a subject of vital interest for all those involved in language learning (Rob 1996). It is the same with English language teaching in China, as for teachers teaching English in China, one of the headaches and problems in listening classroom is students' attention/noticing. In order to find a way out, we carry out a quantitative investigation on the distribution of students' attention/noticing by means of questionnaire. Based on our statistics and analysis, we suggest ways in which we might apply metalinguistic explanations, utilize the characteristics of objective stimulus, try to keep individual's normal state of mind, use reconstruction task for reference and cultivate the autonomy of students so as to facilitate the noticing of the English language learning in listening courses.
