摘要
北爱尔兰的民族冲突是 20世纪困扰英国历届政府的难题之一。20世纪 80年代初,保守党政府启动了北爱和平进程,但困难重重。1997年 5月布莱尔领导下的工党执政后,北爱和平进程取得了重大突破,地方政府得以组建,和平局面暂时得以维持。
Ethnic conflicts in Northern Ireland is a knotty problem which has been harassing every British government during the 20th century.From 1980s on, Conservative government has started the peace process but faced many difficulties. Since Labor Party led by Blair came into power in May 1997,great breakthrough has been achieved.Local government has been set up and peaceful situation has been sustained.
