摘要
本文讨论稀土激活离子由5d→4f跃迁和stark谱线交迭形成的宽调谐激光的可能性。掺Tm^(3+)、HO^(3+)、Tb(9+)、Pr(3+),以及Er^(3+)或Dy^(3+)的晶体利用Stark谱线交迭机制有可能实现宽调谐激光。基质晶场的对称性对晶体的调谐特性具有重要作用。对于产生Stark谱线交迭的可能激活离子和基质晶体条件进行了较详细探讨。
The broad tunability of rare--earth ion emissions from 5d→4f transitions and fromoverlapping transitions between phonon broadened crystal field Stark levels is discussed.Crystals doped with Tm^(3+),Ho^(3+),Tb^(3+),Pr^(3+),and Er^(3+)or Dy^(3+)may achieve broadly tunablelasing by means of overlapping of the Stark spectral lines. The symmetry of the host crystalfield plays an important role in the tunability of the crystal lasers. The possible active ionsand host--crystal conditions are studied.
