摘要
根据车牌纹理及其几何形状的特点,提出了一种基于区域生成的车牌图像定位新方法,该方法灵活有效,通用性强,同时可以根据需要反复分割,直至取得最好效果;另外提出一种新的色彩分割方案,根据车牌的颜色特征在车牌区域内进行色彩分割,进一步地精确定位车牌区域,使得本方法不仅定位准确度高,而且分割精确度也很好。
Aiming at plate texture and plate shape of vehicle image, a new algorithm applied to license plate extraction of vehicle image based on area growth is introduced. Further more, a new better color segmentation scheme is proposed, by which the license plate area is analyzed and then a more precise license plate area is ensured. This new method can locate and extract a precise license plate area in car images with high accuracy and is applicable to locate plates in cases of various backgrounds, positions and illumination.
