摘要
本文提出了一种基于特征颜色边缘检测的车牌定位算法。通过分析局部区域内指定颜色的分布特征,使车牌颜色和纹理特征的提取同时进行,而且只检测出车牌内两种颜色之间的边缘,而大量无用的边缘被忽略,极大地减轻了后续处理工作的难度,缩短了定位时间,同时成功定位率也有所提高。
This paper presents an edge detection algorithm which is based on feature color. By analyzing the specified color distribution characteristic in local region, the color characteristic and texture characteristic are extracted simultaneously. Only the edges with two types of colors within the plate area are detected, and plenty of useless edges are ignored. Therefore, the subsequent procedure can be highly simplified and the locating time can be saved, meanwhile the successful locating rate is also improved.
