摘要
译者作为翻译的主体,要完成翻译的任务,必须充分发挥自己的主观能动性。然而译者主观能动性的发挥受制于其所处的时代,自身的文化、语言能力、审美特征和对原著的理解。翻译过程中译者的文化取向决定译者的翻译策略,不同的译者,由于文化取向的不同对同一作品往往采取不同的翻译策略。
As the subject of translation, the translator must play a dynamic role in order to fulfill his task. However, the dynamic role is restricted in many ways such as the period of time he lives in, his culture and language ability and his aesthetic sense as well as his understanding of the original work. Different translators use different translation strategies because of their different cultural attitudes. Therefore, in the process of translation it's the translator's cultural attitude that decides his translation strategy.
