Abstract The article studies once more with systematic methods the tourist resources, holding that the tourist resources constitute a complete system which is composed of the resources at the destination, its tourist services and establishments, and the tourist market. The tourist resources should be developed in accordance with the principle of mutual attration and restriction among the three components of the tourist resources, coordinating the balance and coherence of the three elements and making them develop at the same pace. Meanwhile, the author maintains that in view of the systematic nature of the tourist resources and the comprehensive nature of their development, it is necessary to establish the new science of Tourist Resources in the realm of tourism and make the development of tourist resources a subject independent of the tourist geography, a principle subject for the study of Tourist Resources.
