The high-speed winding spindle employs a flexible support system incorporating rubber O-rings.By precisely configuring the structural parameters and the number of the O-rings,the spindle can stably surpass its critical speed points and maintain operational stability across the entire working speed range.However,the support stiffness and damping of rubber O-rings exhibit significant nonlinear frequency dependence.Conventional experimental methods for deriving equivalent stiffness and damping,based on the principle of the forced non-resonance method,require fabricating custom setups for each O-ring specification and conducting vibration tests at varying frequencies,resulting in low efficiency and high costs.This study proposes a hybrid simulation-experimental method for dynamic parameter identification.Firstly,the frequency-dependent dynamic parameters of a specific O-ring support system are experimentally obtained.Subsequently,a corresponding parametric finite element model is established to simulate and solve the equivalent elastic modulus and equivalent stiffness-damping coefficient of this O-ring support system.Ultimately,after iterative simulation,the simulated and experimental results achieve a 99.7%agreement.The parametric finite element model developed herein can directly simulate and inversely estimate frequency-dependent dynamic parameters for O-rings of different specifications but identical elastic modulus. 展开更多

Understanding the solubility of supercritical CO_(2)and its mixtures with other fluids at various temperatures and pressures conditions is critical for their applications,such as extraction processes,material design,and carbon capture.In the present study,the solubility parameters of supercritical CO_(2),H_(2)O,and their mixtures were calculated by molecular dynamics simulations.The results show that the solubility parameters decrease with increasing temperature and increase with increasing pressure and are linearly proportional to the density.Furthermore,the intermolecular interactions,including the hydrogen bonds,significantly affect the solubility parameter of the CO_(2)-H_(2)O system. 展开更多

Steel catenary riser represents the pioneering riser technology implemented in China’s deep-sea oil and gas opera-tions.Given the complex mechanical conditions of the riser,extensive research has been conducted on its dynamic analysis and structural design.This study investigates a deep-sea oil and gas field by developing a coupled model of a semi-submersible platform and steel catenary riser to analyze it mechanical behavior under extreme marine condi-tions.Through multi-objective optimization methodology,the study compares and analyzes suspension point tension and touchdown point stress under various conditions by modifying the suspension position,suspension angle,and catenary length.The optimal configuration parameters were determined:a suspension angle of 12°,suspension position in the southwest direction of the column,and a catenary length of approximately 2000 m.These findings elucidate the impact of configuration parameters on riser dynamic response and establish reasonable parameter layout ranges for adverse sea conditions,offering valuable optimization strategies for steel catenary riser deployment in domestic deep-sea oil and gas fields. 展开更多

The dynamic avalanche effect is a critical factor influencing the performance and reliability of the field-stop insulated gate bipolar transistors(FS-IGBT).Unclamped inductive switching(UIS)is the primary method for testing the dynamic avalanche capability of FS-IGBTs.Numerous studies have demonstrated that factors such as device structure,avalanche-generating current filaments,and electrical parameters influence the dynamic avalanche effect of the FS-IGBT.However,few studies have focused on enhancing the avalanche reliability of the FS-IGBT by adjusting circuit parameters during operation.In this paper,the dynamic avalanche effect of the FS-IGBT under UIS conditions is comprehensively investigated through a series of comparative experiments with varying circuit parameters,including bus voltage V_(DC),gate voltage V_(G),gate resistance R_(g),load inductance L,and temperature TC.Furthermore,a method to enhance the dynamic avalanche reliability of the FS-IGBT under UIS by optimizing circuit parameters is proposed.In practical applications,reducing gate voltage,increasing load inductance,and lowering temperature can effectively improve the dynamic avalanche capability of the FS-IGBT. 展开更多

Large dynamic range and ultra-wideband receiving abilities are significant for many receivers. With these abilities, receivers can obtain signals with different power in ultra-wideband frequency space without information loss. However, conventional receiving scheme is hard to have large dynamic range and ultra-wideband receiving simultaneously because of the analog-to-digital converter(ADC) dynamic range and sample rate limitations. In this paper, based on the modulated sampling and unlimited sampling, a novel receiving scheme is proposed to achieve large dynamic range and ultra-wideband receiving. Focusing on the single carrier signals, the proposed scheme only uses a single self-rest ADC(SR-ADC) with low sample rate, and it achieves large dynamic range and ultra-wideband receiving simultaneously. Two receiving scenarios are considered, and they are cooperative strong signal receiving and non-cooperative strong/weak signals receiving. In the cooperative receiving scenario, an improved fast recovery method is proposed to obtain the modulated sampling output. In the non-cooperative receiving scenario, the strong and weak signals with different carrier frequencies are considered, and the signal processing method can recover and estimate each signal. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can realize large dynamic range and ultra-wideband receiving simultaneously when the input signal-to-noise(SNR) ratio is high. 展开更多

Feedforward control is one of the most effective control techniques to increase the robot’s tracking accuracy.However,most of the dynamic models used in the feedforward controllers are linearly simplified such that the nonlinear and time-varying characteristics of dynamics in the workspace are ignored.In this paper,an iterative tuning method for feedforward control of parallel manipulators by taking nonlinear dynamics into account is proposed.Based on the robot rigid-body dynamic model,a feedforward controller considering the dynamic nonlinearity is presented.An iterative tuning method is given to iteratively update the feedforward controller by minimizing the root mean square(RMS)of the joint errors at each cycle.The effectiveness and extrapolation capability of the proposed method are validated through the experiments on a 2-DOF parallel manipulator.This research proposes an iterative tuning method for feedforward control of parallel manipulators considering nonlinear dynamics,which has better extrapolation capability in the whole workspace of manipulators. 展开更多

Web pillars enduring complex coupled loads are critical for stability in high-wall mining.This study develops a dynamic failure criterion for web pillars under non-uniform loading using catastrophe theory.Through the analysis of the web pillar-overburden system’s dynamic stress and deformation,a total potential energy function and dynamic failure criterion were established for web pillars.An optimizing method for web pillar parameters was developed in highwall mining.The dynamic criterion established was used to evaluate the dynamic failure and stability of web pillars under static and dynamic loading.Key findings reveal that vertical displacements exhibit exponential-trigonometric variation under static loads and multi-variable power-law behavior under dynamic blasting.Instability risks arise when the roof’s tensile strength-to-stress ratio drops below 1.Using catastrophe theory,the bifurcation setΔ<0 signals sudden instability.The criterion defines failure as when the unstable web pillar section length l1 exceeds the roof’s critical collapse distance l2.Case studies and simulations determine an optimal web pillar width of 4.6 m.This research enhances safety and resource recovery,providing a theoretical framework for advancing highwall mining technology. 展开更多

High-pressure water jet technology has emerged as a highly effective method for removing industrial-scale deposits from pipelines,offering a clean,efficient,and environmentally sustainable alternative to conventional mechanical or chemical cleaning techniques.Among the many parameters influencing its performance,the geometry of the nozzle plays a decisive role in governing jet coherence,impact pressure distribution,and overall cleaning efficiency.In this study,a comprehensive numerical and experimental investigation is conducted to elucidate the influence of nozzle geometry on the behavior of high-pressure water jets.Using Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)simulations based on the Volume of Fluid(VOF)approach,the jet dynamics and impingement characteristics of three representative nozzle configurations—flat,conical,and tapered—are systematically analyzed.Particular attention is devoted to the tapered nozzle,where variations in the outlet diameter are explored to determine their effect on flow structure,jet stability,and impact performance.The numerical predictions are rigorously validated against experimental measurements,demonstrating excellent quantitative agreement and confirming the robustness of the computational model.Results show that the tapered nozzle,characterized by its elongated conical transition section,promotes a more stable jet core and superior efflux performance compared to flat and conical geometries.Furthermore,the exit diameter is found to exert a profound influence on jet development.At an inlet pressure of 130 MPa,increasing the tapered nozzle's outlet diameter from 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm enlarges the coherent core region,enhances jet stability,and improves hydraulic energy utilization.Under these conditions,the total impact pressure on the target surface increases by 33.14%,while the overall cleaning efficiency improves by 40.44%. 展开更多

Promoting the high penetration of renewable energies like photovoltaic(PV)systems has become an urgent issue for expanding modern power grids and has accomplished several challenges compared to existing distribution grids.This study measures the effectiveness of the Puma optimizer(PO)algorithm in parameter estimation of PSC(perovskite solar cells)dynamic models with hysteresis consideration considering the electric field effects on operation.The models used in this study will incorporate hysteresis effects to capture the time-dependent behavior of PSCs accurately.The PO optimizes the proposed modified triple diode model(TDM)with a variable voltage capacitor and resistances(VVCARs)considering the hysteresis behavior.The suggested PO algorithm contrasts with other wellknown optimizers from the literature to demonstrate its superiority.The results emphasize that the PO realizes a lower RMSE(Root mean square errors),which proves its capability and efficacy in parameter extraction for the models.The statistical results emphasize the efficiency and supremacy of the proposed PO compared to the other well-known competing optimizers.The convergence rates show good,fast,and stable convergence rates with lower RMSE via PO compared to the other five competitive optimizers.Moreover,the lowermean realized via the PO optimizer is illustrated by the box plot for all optimizers. 展开更多

To address the disk-halo degeneracy problem,we investigate the nearby barred spiral galaxy NGC 1097.We construct mass models using 3.6 and 4.5μm near-infrared photometric images from the S^(4)G survey,constrained by rotation curves derived from CO(J=2–1)data from the PHANGS-ALMA survey.These models serve as inputs for a suite of hydrodynamic simulations,where we systematically test the influence of key parameters including the disk mass scaling factor(f_(M)),bar pattern speed(Ω_(b)),and gas sound speed(c_(s)).By comparing the CO(2–1)kinematic maps in the bar region with those from the simulations,we perform a standardχ^(2)analysis to identify the best-fit model.The best-fit model reproduces the observed morphological and kinematic gas features of the galaxy,indicating that NGC 1097 likely hosts a maximal disk with a slowly rotating bar.We also test the influence of a boxy/peanut-shaped(B/P)bulge by incorporating a double-peaked vertical density profile into the model.This B/P structure tends to weaken the bar’s non-axisymmetric potential and necessitate a higher bar pattern speed to reproduce the observed gas morphology. 展开更多

The aim of this paper is to simulate and study the early moments of the reactive ballistics of a large caliber projectile fired from a gun,combining 0D and 2D axisymmetric Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)approaches.First,the methodology is introduced with the development of an interior ballistics(IB)lumped parameter code(LPC),integrating an original image processing method for calculating the specific regression of propellant grains that compose the gun propellant.The ONERA CFD code CEDRE,equipped with a Dynamic Mesh Technique(DMT),is then used in conjunction with the developed LPC to build a dedicated methodology to calculate IB.First results obtained on the AGARD gun and 40 mm gun test cases are in a good agreement with the existing literature.CEDRE is also used to calculate inter-mediate ballistics(first milliseconds of free flight of the projectile)with a multispecies and reactive approach either starting from the gun muzzle plane or directly following IB.In the latter case,an inverse problem involving a Latin hypercube sampling method is used to find a gun propellant configuration that allows the projectile to reach a given exit velocity and base pressure when IB ends.The methodology developed in this work makes it possible to study the flame front of the intermediate flash and depressurization that occurs in a base bleed(BB)channel at the gun muzzle.Average pressure variations in the BB channel during depressurization are in good agreement with literature. 展开更多

A novel bidirectional tuned rolling mass damper(Bi-TRMD)device is proposed,and its dynamic character-istics and vibration reduction performance are investigated.The device achieves the performance goal of bidirectional vibration reduction for a tuned rolling mass damper with a single concave structure.First,the Bi-TRMD device is introduced,and its three-dimensional(3D)mechanical model is established.The motion equations of the model are de-rived using the Gibbs-Appell equation,and a trajectory pre-diction method for the sphere and structure within the model is developed.This method demonstrates that the rolling motion of the sphere around orthogonal axes is nearly indepen-dent within a limited range,enabling the simplification of the 3D model into a two-dimensional(2D)model.The accuracy of this simplification is validated through case analysis.The vibration reduction parameters are optimized using the 2D model and Den Hartog theory,leading to the derivation of mathematical expressions for the optimal frequency ratio and damping ratio.Subsequently,the bidirectional vi-bration reduction performance of the Bi-TRMD is analyzed.The results show that under white noise excitation,the Bi-TRMD achieves a bidirectional peak acceleration reduction rate that is 9.92%and 7.79%higher than that of translational tuned mass dampers(TMD)with the same mass.These findings demonstrate that the proposed Bi-TRMD ef-fectively achieves two-directional vibration reduction with a single concave structure,offering superior vibration reduction performance. 展开更多

A measurement system for the scattering characteristics of warhead fragments based on high-speed imaging systems offers advantages such as simple deployment,flexible maneuverability,and high spatiotemporal resolution,enabling the acquisition of full-process data of the fragment scattering process.However,mismatches between camera frame rates and target velocities can lead to long motion blur tails of high-speed fragment targets,resulting in low signal-to-noise ratios and rendering conventional detection algorithms ineffective in dynamic strong interference testing environments.In this study,we propose a detection framework centered on dynamic strong interference disturbance signal separation and suppression.We introduce a mixture Gaussian model constrained under a joint spatialtemporal-transform domain Dirichlet process,combined with total variation regularization to achieve disturbance signal suppression.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed disturbance suppression method can be integrated with certain conventional motion target detection tasks,enabling adaptation to real-world data to a certain extent.Moreover,we provide a specific implementation of this process,which achieves a detection rate close to 100%with an approximate 0%false alarm rate in multiple sets of real target field test data.This research effectively advances the development of the field of damage parameter testing. 展开更多

Quickly and accurately obtaining the internal temperature distribution of a transformer plays a key role in predicting its operating conditions and simplifying the maintenance process.A reasonable equivalent thermal circuit model is a relatively reliable method of obtaining the internal temperature distribution.However,thermal circuit models without targeted consideration of operating conditions and parameter corrections usually limit the accuracy of the results.This paper proposed a five-node transient thermal circuit model with the introduction of nonlinear thermal resistance,which considered the internal structure and winding layout of the core-type high-frequency transformer.The Nusselt number,a crucial variable in heat convection calculations and directly related to the accuracy of thermal resistance parameters,was calibrated on the basis of the distribution of external cooling air.After parameter calibration,the maximum computational error of the hotspot temperature is reduced by 5.48%compared with that of the uncalibrated model.Finally,an experimental platform for temperature monitoring was established to validate the five-node model and its ability to track the temperature change at each reference point after calibrating the Nusselt number. 展开更多

A dynamics-based adaptive control approach is proposed for a planar dual-arm space robot in the presence of closed-loop constraints and uncertain inertial parameters of the payload. The controller is capable of controlling the po- sition and attitude of both the satellite base and the payload grasped by the manipulator end effectors. The equations of motion in reduced-order form for the constrained system are derived by incorporating the constraint equations in terms of accelerations into Kane's equations of the unconstrained system. Model analysis shows that the resulting equations perfectly meet the requirement of adaptive controller design. Consequently, by using an indirect approach, an adaptive control scheme is proposed to accomplish position/attitude trajectory tracking control with the uncertain parameters be- ing estimated on-line. The actuator redundancy due to the closed-loop constraints is utilized to minimize a weighted norm of the joint torques. Global asymptotic stability is proven by using Lyapunov's method, and simulation results are also presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

Based on recorded wi... A 3D finite element (FE) model for the Sutong cable-stayed bridge (SCB) is established based on ANSYS. The dynamic characteristics of the bridge are analyzed using a subspace iteration method. Based on recorded wind data, the measured spectra expression is presented using the nonlinear least-squares regression method. Turbulent winds at the bridge site are simulated based on the spectral representation method and the FFT technique. The influence of some key structural parameters and measures on the dynamic characteristics of the bridge are investigated. These parameters include dead load intensity, as well as vertical, lateral and torsional stiffness of the steel box girder. In addition, the influence of elastic stiffness of the connection device employed between the towers and the girder on the vibration mode of the steel box girder is investigated. The analysis shows that all of the vertical, lateral and torsional buffeting displacement responses reduce gradually as the dead load intensity increases. The dynamic characteristics and the structural buffeting displacement response of the SCB are only slightly affected by the vertical and torsional stiffness of the steel box girder, and the lateral and torsional buffeting displacement responses reduce gradually as the lateral stiffness increases. These results provide a reference for dynamic analysis and design of super-long-span cable-stayed bridges. 展开更多

Length-frequency data of eight commercial fish species in the Beibu Gulf (Golf of Tonkin), northern South China Sea, were collected during 2006-2007. Length-weight relationships and growth and mortality parameters were analyzed using FiSAT II software. Five species had isometric growth, two species had negative allometric growth, and one species had positive allometric growth. Overall, the exploitation rates of the eight species were lower in 2006 2007 than in 1997-1999: for four species (Saurida tumbil, Saurida undosquamis, Argyrosomus macrocephalus, and Nemipterus virgatus) it was lower in 2006-2007 than in 1997 1999, for two species (Parargyrops edita and Trichiurus haumela) it remained the same, and for the other two species (Trachurus japonicus and Decapterus maruadsi) it was higher in 2006~007 than in 1997-1999. The exploitation rates might have declined because of the decline in fishing intensity caused by high crude oil prices. The optimum exploitation rate, estimated using Beverton-Holt dynamic pool models, indicated that although fishes in the Beibu Gulf could sustain high exploitation rates, the under-size fishes at first capture resulted in low yields. To increase the yield per recruitment, it is more effective to increase the size at first capture than to control fishing effort. 展开更多

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the effects of uncertain-but-bounded parameters on the dynamic response of structures. By combining the interval mathematics and the finite element analysis, the mass matrix, damping matrix, stiffness matrix and the external loads are represented as interval matrices and vector. With the help of the optimization theory, we present the vertex solution theorem for determining both the exact upper bounds or maximum values and the exact lower bounds or minimum values of the dynamic response of structures, in which these parameters reach their extreme values on the boundary of the interval mass, damping, stiffness matrices and the interval extemal loads vector. Three examples are used to illustrate the computational aspects of the presented vertex solution theorem. 展开更多

With dynamic reliability problems of stochastic parameters,supercavity vehicle is subject to impact loads.The supercavity vehicle is modeled by using eight-node super-parametric shell elements.The tail impact loads of supercavity vehicle structures are simplified into two stationary random processes with a certain phase difference,and the random excitations are transformed into sinusoidal ones in terms of the pseudo excitation method.The stress response of stochastic structure can be obtained through combining Newmark method with pseudo excitation perturbation method,and then all required digital features for dynamic reliability of supercavity vehicle have be calculated.The expressions of the mean value and the variance of dynamic reliability of supercavity vehicle with stochastic parameters are educed on the basis of the Poisson formula of calculating dynamic reliability.Finally,the influence of the randomness of structural parameters on the dynamic reliability is analyzed.And the feasibility and availability of this method were validated by comparing with the Monte Carlo method. 展开更多

The structure parameters in an actual industrial production have a great influence on the coefficient of supercharger floating bearing dynamic characteristics,but there has been little systematic study so far.In this paper,the influence of structural parameters of the turbocharger floating bearing on its dynamic characteristic coefficientsis systematically investigated based on the theories of hydrodynamic lubrication and tribology.The influence of clearance ratio on eccentricity and the influence of internal to external radius ratios,and Sommerfeld number were analyzed.A new formula of responding characteristics of the oil film force caused by the displacement or velocity disturbance was deduced near an equilibrium in the steady state.Applying the newly developed formula,the dynamic characteristic was studied for floating bearings.Regularity for change of oil film stiffness and damping was analyzed with the structural parameters of floating bearing such as radius ratios and eccentricity.It has been found that the clearance ratio increases with eccentricity when the radius ratio is unchanged.The eccentricity decreases with the internal to external radius ratio of floating rings when the clearance ratio is constant.The absolute value of total principal stiffness and total main damping decrease with the clearance ratio and radius ratio of floating rings when the total cross damping is stable.The results and findings in this paper can contribute to nonlinear dynamics designs of turbocharger rotor-bearing systems. 展开更多
