There would be a sharp decrease in the performance of traditional CAN protocol because of considerable increase in the number of ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and infotainment gadgets connected in the vehicle architecture. The demand for safety, emission, diagnostics and comfort norms has steeply increased the number of messages in the 250 Kbps CAN network as the computational power of ECUs has gone up. To overcome this problem, the short CAN method has been proposed and the work is benchmarked with SAEJ1939 Heavy commercial vehicle CAN standard. The Matlab Simulink based short CAN has been modeled and the performance of the proposed system has evaluated using virtual instrument cluster. Experimental results have shown that compared to the traditional CAN, the proposed method has reduced the worst case response time of CAN extended frame from 160 μ sec to 144 μ sec. Selective bit stuffing technique has reduced the impact of bit stuffing over the payload and improved the utilization factor for the CAN bus without affecting the CAN message ID properties. The proposed algorithm has been modeled and simulated using CAN Matlab model Simulink and it has been verified using virtual CAN tool and real time CAN bus hardware.展开更多

A high-temperature simulation test furnace w as used to analyze the influence of the composition ratio of ladle filler sand and sintering time on the high-temperature compression resistance of chromium-containing stuffing sand in the temperature range of 1 500- 1 600 ℃. The results show that the refractoriness of ladle filler sand w as the low est( only 1 610 ℃) w hen the composition ratio of chromite sand and silica sand w as 6∶ 4. M oreover, the high-temperature compression resistance w as high w hen the content of chromite sand w as at 70%; the resistance increased w ith increasing sintering time. When the sintering time w as extended at a temperature of 1 600 ℃,the high-temperature compression resistance of ladle filler sand first increased and then decreased after being overburnt.展开更多

It is a component of a pumping unit. When the pumping unit' s polish rod moves up and down repeatedly, the stuffing box can play a role in sealing so as to prevent the liquid in the oil well flom leaking. However, there can be friction, called "eccentric wear" , between the polish rod and stuffing box for some reason during their relative movements. This paper proposed specific solution through analyzing this phenomenon.展开更多

Displacement back-analysis is the most widely used method;however, the reliability of thecurrent approaches remains unsatisfactory. Therefore, in this paper, a multistage rock mass parameterback-analysis method, that considers the construction process and displacement losses is proposed andimplemented through the coupling of numerical simulation, auto-machine learning (AutoML), andmulti-objective optimization algorithms (MOOAs). First, a parametric modeling platform for mechanizedtwin tunnels is developed, generating a dataset through extensive numerical simulations. Next, theAutoML method is utilized to establish a surrogate model linking rock parameters and displacements. The tunnel construction process is divided into multiple stages, transforming the rock mass parameterback-analysis into a multi-objective optimization problem, for which multi-objective optimization algorithmsare introduced to obtain the rock mass parameters. The newly proposed rock mass parameterback-analysis method is validated in a mechanized twin tunnel project, and its accuracy and effectivenessare demonstrated. Compared with traditional single-stage back-analysis methods, the proposedmodel decreases the average absolute percentage error from 12.73% to 4.34%, significantly improving theaccuracy of the back-analysis. Moreover, although the accuracy of back analysis significantly increaseswith the number of construction stages considered, the back analysis time is acceptable. This studyprovides a new method for displacement back analysis that is efficient and accurate, thereby paving theway for precise parameter determination in numerical simulations.展开更多
