摘要
随着跨文化交流的不断深化,大量外国电影进入中国市场,字幕翻译在跨文化传播中扮演了重要角色。在目的论指导下,本文通过案例分析比较《地狱男爵》在中国两大视频平台——腾讯视频和优酷视频——两版字幕翻译,重点探讨角色绰号以及台词翻译中的直译与意译策略。研究发现,在超级英雄电影中,角色绰号的翻译更适合采用意译,而普通台词的翻译则需兼顾语境和观众的接受度。本文认为,字幕翻译的优化应在忠实原作与服务观众之间寻求平衡,同时针对不同类型文本合理选用翻译策略。尽管研究数据有限,但本文为超级英雄电影字幕翻译提供了新的视角和实践建议。With the deepening of cross-cultural communication, an increasing number of foreign films have entered the Chinese market, highlighting the crucial role of subtitle translation in cultural exchange. Under the guidance of Skopos Theory, this paper conducts a comparative analysis of the subtitle translation of Hellboy as presented on two video platforms in China, Tencent Video and Youku Video, focusing on the translation strategies employed for character nicknames and the choice between literal and free translation in dialogue. The findings indicate that, in the context of superhero films, free translation tends to perform better for character nicknames, while a balanced approach that considers both contextual factors and audience reception excels when coping with ordinary dialogues. It also argues that optimizing subtitle translation necessitates a dynamic equilibrium between fidelity to the source text and adaptability to the target audience, with translation strategies tailored to the specific text type. Although the scope of the study is constrained by limited data, it provides valuable insights and practical advice for the subtitle translation of superhero films.
