摘要
在英汉语中,颜色词的使用尽管有着一致,但始终存在着差异,这是由于语言本身的因素和语言外的因素即历史文化、传统习俗等造成的。本文通过大量的译例,就主要颜色词在两种不同文化中的本义和引申义的使用和翻译进行比较分析,以求在英语学习中正确了解它们的涵义。
Though some similarities exist when color words are used in English and Chinese, there are more differences due both the language itself and the cultural factors such as history, culture, customs and traditions. This article tries to illustrate the iginal and associated meanings of the color words and their translation methods in order that English learners can better derstand the meanings of the color words.
