摘要
模糊语言广泛地存在于自然语言中。模糊语言应用于广告可以产生独特的宣传效果,从而更好地服务于广告的最终目的。本文着重探讨了英语广告中词汇的模糊现象,并就实例分析了各种词汇的模糊表达及其语用功能。
Vague language is quite common in natural languages. When used in advertisements, vague language helps to bring about distinctive effect in promoting their products, thus serving better the ultimate purpose of advertisements. With examples, this paper discusses the vagueness of vocabulary and its pragmatic function in English advertisements.
