摘要
湖南省山茶属红山组植物种类较多,共13种1变种,约占国产总数的23.6%,居全国第2,仅次于四川省;作者在实地调查和查阅大量文献的基础上,详细论述了湖南省山茶属红山组植物的树形、叶、花、果的观赏特性,认为其为优良的乡土木本观花植物,观赏价值高,在中国南方的广大地区值得大力推广。
The species of Sect. Camellia plants of Genus Camellia are rich in Hunan. There are 13 species 1 subspecies in Hunan, it takes up about 23.6% of total species of China. It is second only to Sichuan; Based on collecting data and a lot of field finding and analysis the tree form, leaf, flower, fruits and practices in landscape design, author considers they are excellent native woody plants; there is a vast prospect in gardening practices for the Sect. Camellia plants of Genus Camellia in Hunan, and it ought to be application widen in south China .
