已研制成一种微波行波式电光振幅调制器。它可在10.6μmCO_2激光支线两侧8.0~12.4GHz范围内实现边带的连续调谐。调制器在调谐范围内的最大驻波比小于2.20;电光转换效率与理论预期值同量级;在调谐范围内转换效率的最小值相对于最大值下降了28%。
A traveling microwave electro-optic amplitude modulator for generating tunable CO_2 laser sideband has been developed. The frequency of sideband can be continuously tuned over8.0——12.4GHz ranges at each side of CO_2 laser lines. The largest standing-wave ratio of the modulator within tuning ranges is less than 2.2; The efficiency of the electro-optic modulation coversion is the same order of magnitude as calculated in theory. Over the tuning ranges, the minimum of the electro-optic modulation conversion efficiency is 28% less than the maximum.
