摘要
跨文化交流是全球化的必然趋势,跨文化交流的文学翻译研究主要是认清并逾越因差异而产生的交互文化理解与交流的鸿沟。从文化系统的五个层面审视了著名作家贾平凹的长篇小说《浮躁》英译本Turbulence的文化误译现象,认为语言文化、物质文化、心理文化、行为文化和典章制度文化都是产生误译的重要"滞阻点",在突显主体文化的前提下,对地域文化、方言土语、民风民俗等文化的缺省,可根据读者的接受心理作适当的归化转译,但涉及典章制度和影响主题思想的文化,则必须作异化处理。
Cross-cultural communication is an essential part of globalization. The principal task of cross-cultural communication is to recognize and bridge the chasm opened by differences inherent in cross-cultural understanding and communication. In light of the five stratums of cultural system which runs through the whole structure of a literary work, this thesis explores the cultural misreading and mistranslating of the Chinese novel 'Turbulence',and draws the conclusion that apart from primary culture, more concern should be devoted to the transmission of the regional culture and adequate translations should cover every stratum especially the neglected 'barriers' of institutional stratum besides behavioral culture and of dialects and customs as well.
