Selection and Utilization of Corn Sister Lines

摘要 对同一基本株自交产生的姊妹系及其姊妹种以及由此组配的普通单交和改良单交的若干农艺性状和经济性状进行了分析研究。结果表明,姊妹种应从早代(S_2或S_3)分离产生,利用S_2代姊妹种制种可以大幅度提高制种产量,主要是行粒数和穗粒重两因素的明显优势所致。改良单交性状的整齐度和产量可以保持与普通单交基本一致。 The research has been made on several agronomy and economic characters of sister lines and sister-crosses produced by self-breeding from a single plant as well as the characters of singlerosses and modified single-crosses composed of crossing sister lines and sister-crosses with parents. The sister-crosses should be derived from early generations (S_2 or S_3);the obverse dominance of kernels per row and grain weight per ear leads to a high increase of hybrid seed yield by using S_2 generation sisfer-cross. The uniformity and yield of modified single-cross may be basically the same as the corresponding single-cross.
