This article is a comparative study of the two religious systems: Judaism and Confucianism, from the perspectives of their concepts of deity, religious Scriptures and their essential principles. It concludes that Confucianism is polytheistic or with obvious polytheistic elements, whereas Judaism is a typically monotheistic system. In the eyes of most Chinese people, Confucian books are composed of human words while the Jewish Torah and Mishnah have been traditionally regarded as divine revelation. Judaism is theocentered, Confucianism, however, is mancentered. They complement each other in some aspects.
