The Development of DOI System and Its Effects on the Digital Library

摘要介绍数字版权管理的基础设施——数字对象标识符(DOI)系统的概念及其构成,阐述DOI系统的功能特征,分析跟踪DOI系统最新发展的必要性,并通过探讨DOI在电子书销售、参考文献链接、数字版权管理等方面的作用,评价其对数字图书馆发展的影响。 Digital Object Identifier (DOI) system is an infrastructure of digital rights management (DRM). This paper introduces the concept of DOI system and its components, describes the functionality of the system, and analyzes the necessity of tracing its current development. Based on the discussion of the role and usage of DOI in ebook selling, reference linking and DRM, the effects of DOI system on the digital library are reviewed.
