Ultrastructure of hippocampus in hyperlipidemic rats

摘要 目的 :观察高脂血症大鼠海马的超微结构变化。方法 :将SD大鼠饲以高脂饲料 ,饲养 6w后测血脂 ,应用透射电镜观察海马超微结构。结果 :实验组血清总胆固醇 ( 6.65mmol/L)及血清低密度脂蛋白胆固醇 ( 4 .41mmol/L)升高明显 ,差异显著。电镜下实验组大鼠海马锥体细胞超微结构出现一系列病理改变 ,其中尤以神经元内出现大量脂滴最为显著。结论 :高脂血症可诱导大鼠海马内神经元出现一系列病理改变 ,为今后进一步探讨血脂代谢异常与中枢神经系统的神经退行性病变关系提供了形态学依据。 Objective: To observe the ultrastructural changes in hippocampus of hyperlipidemic rats. Methods:Sprague-Dawley rats were fed with high lipid diet. After 6-week feeding, rats were killed for assaying serum lipids and observing the hippocampal ultrastructures with transmission electron microscope (TEM). Results:Serum TC and LDLC of experimental group were 6.65 mmol/L and 4.41 mmol/L, which were significantly higher than those of the control group. The ultrastructures of hippocampus in experimental group presented a series of pathologic changes of pyramidal cells, especially there were lots of lipid droplets appeared in neurons. Conclusion:Series of pathologic changes in hippocampus of rats can be induced by hyperlipidemia, and this provide morphological evidences for further investigation of association between metabolic abnormality of lipids and degenerative pathogenesis in the central nervous system.
