EFFECT OF SULFUR FERTILIZATION ON ALFALFA(MEDICAGO SATIVA)

摘要 近年来,硫被认为是植物四大营养元素之一,主要以硫元素和硫酸盐为硫源。硫不仅提高苜蓿的产量,改善苜蓿的品质,还与苜蓿等豆科植物的根瘤数、根瘤大小和固氮作用有关。植物体内N:S可作为判断土壤中是否缺硫的指标,它可以为苜蓿生产提供可靠依据。施硫牧草能提高羊毛、羊肉和牛奶的产量和品质,改善家畜的采食行为。 Sulfur, recently rated one of the four most important plant nutrients, is most commonly applied in the form of elemental S and sulfates. Sulfur deficiencies are aommon in many parts of the world. Nearly all proteins include S containigg amino acids. Sulfur is also a constituent of enzymes and vitamins, and it has much to do with metabotinsm materials and energy in the plant. By means of biochemistry and physiological researches, many researchers reported that sulfur not only increases the yield of alfalfa but also improves the quality of this forage crop. It also influence the numbers and sizes of nodules, and effects on nitrogen fixation of alfalfa and other legumes. The possible occurrence of sulfur deficiency in the plant. Provided the range of critical nutrient values of S in alfalfa has been measured, we can get a basis for alfalfa production surely.
