北魏初年,民族矛盾尖锐,民族关系紧张.北魏孝文帝为缓解民族矛盾,缓和民族关系,巩固北魏统治,对民族关系进行了调整.使鲜卑汉化,是北魏孝文帝改革的重要内容之一.使鲜卑汉化,有利于民族融合和南北的统一,但也导致了北魏的分裂.
Early in the Northern Wei Dynasty, to alleviate the tension and improve the relation between the Han nationality and the XianBei nationality, emperor XiaoWen took action to assimilate the people of the XianBei nationality. The reform, on one hand, contributed to the unification of the nationalities, on the other hand, led to the split in the BeiWei Dynasty.
