摘要
“意义”和“语境”是英语语用学中的两个基本概念。本文通过对意义和语境两个概念内涵的论述 ,分析了语境的重要性 ,并从词语和句子两个层面阐述了语境对意义的影响 ,以期对英语教学有所启发。
Meaning' and 'context' are two basic concepts in English Pragmatics. Through illustrating the implications of these two concepts, the essay analyzes the importance of context,and probes into the influence of context on meaning so as to give some hints in English language teaching.
