摘要
20世纪90年代初,澳大利亚将环境教育与传统的社会课相结合,形成了“社会与环境教育”这样一门新的核心课程,保证了环境教育的地位,创建了环境教育的新模式,解决了环境教育的载体和根本所在。这一举措为环境教育在基础教育阶段的推行提供了新鲜经验。
Since the early 1990s in most Australian states, the traditional social studies subjects (history, geography, economics, politics) have been combined with environmental education to form a new 'Key Learning Area', Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE). The development of SOSE offered new incentives and opportunities to incorporate environmental education into school curricula. As one of eight Key Learning Areas, Studies of Society and Environment provides a significant new vehicle for environmental education that will secure its position in schools.
