摘要
新加坡独立20多年后就建立起了一个物质文明和精神文明高度发达的现代化国家,这与她高度重视道德建设和对青少年一代的精心培养是分不开的。同属儒家文化圈,并且也正在面临着西方文明的渗透与演变,新加坡现代化建设的成功经验对我国当前社会主义精神文明建设和教育改革具有启迪和借鉴作用。
During the short period from 1965 to 1985, Singapore succeeded in building a modernized country with fully-developed material and spiritual civilization, which is attributed largely to the great importance that it has attached to the moral education and cultivation of the younger generation. Since both China and Singapore are deeply influenced by the Confucian culture, and both are facing the infiltration by the Western culture, Singapore's success in the building of a modernized country is surely of great reference value for the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and the reform of education in China.
