摘要
当今译坛上关于归化与异化孰优孰劣的讨论主要是就英译汉问题展开的。由于种种原因,现阶段汉语文学作品英译工作主要落在了我国翻译工作者肩上,因此应当将该讨论也扩展到汉译英领域。鉴于异化翻译有益于民族文化身份的保持,应在汉语文学作品的英译中逐步增大其比重。
The discussion in China about the superiority or inferiority of the domestication and foreignization methods among translation theoreticians has mainly revolved around EnglishChinese translation. For various reasons, we Chinese have to do most of the translation of Chinese works into English at the present stage. Therefore, it is necessary to extend the discussion to the field of ChineseEnglish translation, and foreignization should be more often employed in the translation of Chinese literary works into English as an important means of preserving their cultural identity.
