摘要
本文通过看图作文考察第二语言汉语学习者对生成性词汇深度知识的掌握情况,考察指标包括:词语的多样性、密度、新颖性、复杂程度和偏误率。结果表明,经过一学期的学习,学习者生成性词汇复杂程度有显著提高,偏误率有所降低,另外3个指标无明显变化。参照中国大学生的情况来看,留学生生成性词汇的各项指标距本族人的水平均有很大差距,其词汇能力的提高可能还有赖于专门的词汇教学。结果还显示,学习者生成性词汇的复杂程度、偏误率与其总体语言水平及作文水平相关。
On the analysis of data from the learners'picturedescription in Chinese, this study investigates how the Chinese L2 learners expand their knowledge of productive vocabulary. Five variables are analyzed: lexical variation, lexical density, lexical originality, lexical sophistication and rate of errors. The study reveals that lexical variation increased and rate of errors decreased after a semester, and there is no significant change of the other three variables. Great gaps of vocabulary knowledge are found between L2 learners and native Chinese speakers. It seems that Chinese L2 learners need explicit vocabulary instruction.
