Heat exchangers have long been corroded by themedium,heat and scale.The protection systemfor the heat exchanger was phenolic paint at thebegining and phenolic-epoxy-polysiloxane bl-ended resin with superfine mica in 60s′,whichis especially suitable for water-coolers or otherheat exchangers.In 70s′,the epoxy or epoxymodified resin paint were the main systemsused. The properties of these paints have beenreviewed.
