摘要
同单一的“神似”或“形似”相比,“形神皆似”无疑是更为理想的翻译目标和境界。本文认为,在翻译过程中采取象似性的视角和切入点,有助于从语言形式的翻译入手实现“形神皆似”之理想翻译效果。文章从顺序、数量和对称等典型象似性原则的角度探讨了篇章层的象似性翻译转换问题,并论述了翻译过程中象似性原则的相竞性及其翻译对策问题,以期对翻译研究提供有益的启示。
Compared with single 搒piritual resemblance?or 揻ormal resemblance? the effect of 揵oth spiritual and formal resemblance?is no doubt a more ideal objective for translation. Holding that an iconic perspective on and approach to translation is favourable for the realization of the ideal effect of 揵oth spiritual and formal resemblance? the paper makes an attempt to deal with the text-level translation from the angles of the typical iconic principles of order, quantity and symmetry, and explores the translating strategies of how to handle the competing iconic principles. Such a study is believed to be able to shed new light on translation research.
