摘要
本文从忠实性、艺术性和(大众)文化性三个方面考察了电影对小说的改编重构,在区分"作品"和"文本"的概念基础上,指出在英美文学教学中应该将电影视为一种有自身独特风格的与小说平等的作品来"阅读",而不能视其为小说文本的附庸.
This paper explores the cinematic adaptation and reconceptualization of fiction from three perspectives: cinematic authenticity, cinematic literariness and cinematic pop culture. Based on the theoretic distinction between 'literary text' and 'literary work', the paper further suggests that film adaptation should be 'read 'as independent texts having their own stylistic repertoir ; neither inferior nor superior to their literary antecedents.
