摘要
大学英语教学呼唤改革 ,但这种改革必须遵循“扬弃”(即批判地吸收 )传统教学法的原则。本文通过形象化的比喻 ,对翻译法、朗读背诵法、语言点讲授法、背景介绍法、演题法和测试法等六项大学英语传统教学行为一一作了评价 ,并对构建大学英语的理想教学模式提出了自己的主张。
College English teaching calls badly for reform, but the reform should absorb critically the traditional teaching method. By vivid analogy, the article evaluates the teaching methods such as translation, aloud reading and reciting, language-point explaining, introduction of background, guided excise-doing and in-class testing. The writer proposes his own ideal teaching mode.
