摘要
The synthesis of 5 methyl indole in only one step from p toluidine and ethylene exide was studied.The influence factors were investigated by experiments arragned by orthogonal design.The results show that the optimum conditions were:reaction temperature was 350℃;reaction time was 7g·h·mol -1 ;the molar ratio of p toluidine to water vapour to ethylene exide was 3∶8∶1;and the volume percentage of hydrogen in reaction mixture was 70%.The yield of 5 methyl indole was about 79%.
