Constructing a Bridge between Mainstream Theories and Critical Theories ——An Analysis of the Synthesis of Constructivism by Wendt

摘要主流理论与批判理论分别以理性主义和反思主义为基础 ,各执一端 ,缺乏对话与交流的平台。而温特建构主义则试图在二者之间建构一条中间道路 ,在国际关系领域最集中地体现了社会科学理论所最需要的合成特性。本文集中于国际关系的元理论层次 ,从本体论的合成、认识论的合成、本体论与认识论的合成、理论观的合成及其意义四个方面分别展开论述 ,以全面彰显温特理论的合成特征及其对国际关系研究的重大意义。 Mainstream theories and critical theories are based on rationalism and reflective theories respectively.Since they each have their own opinions,there is no forum for dialogue and intercommunication between them.Wendt's constructivism,however, attempts to construct a middle way between the two,which embodies the synthesis sorely needed by the social sciences in the field of IR. In order to demonstrate the synthesis of Wendt's constructivism and its important significance to international studies,this paper focuses on the meta-theory level of IR by elaborating on four aspects.These include the synthesis of ontology,the synthesis of epistemology,the synthesis of ontology and epistemology,and the synthesis of theory and its significance.
