Massive bleeding into the suprachoroidal space may cause either extrusion of intraocular contents (expulsive hemorrhage) or to force the inner retinal surface into apposition, so called 'kissing choroidal'. This is a rare complication of intraocular surgery that may occur after filtering operation, cataract operation, penetrating keratoplasty and after trauma.
