Some basic knowledge about how to use the recarburing agents for induction furnace melting was introduced.It was explained that the suspending fine particles of graphite was favorable for the formation of the nuclei of graphite that would reduce supercooling and chilling tendency of the cast iron.Adopting the recaburizing agent with proper grain size could shorten recarburizing time and im-prove recarburizing effect.Increased silicon and sulphur content would make recarburizing process slower.The selection and addition method of the recarburizing agents were introduced.
