转折副词“可”产生于唐代。汉代产生的“可”作反诘副词的用法,在唐代引申出否定、疑问和强调语气等多种功能,其中“可”表示强调语气的用法在语义转折这种特定语境影响下,发展出转折功能。
adverb 'ke'(可)s adversative function first came into use in Tang Dynasty. In Han Dynasty adverb 'ke'(可) could express rhetorical questions, which were extended into three more functions such as negative adverb, query adverb and emphasizing modal adverb during the Tang Dynasty. As the emphasizing meaning of 'ke'(可) was repeatedly used in the context of changing ideas, it gradually gained the adversative function.
