The study of regeneration of periodontal tissues is the important sphere on periodontal diseases study. The maintenance of biological functions of periodontal ligament cells is the key in the generation of periodontal tissues. This review discussed the effects of aging, growth factors, cell factors, etc. on biological functions of periodontal ligament cells.
