摘要
张培基教授等主编的《英汉翻译教程》是一本优秀的翻译教材,但也存在某些不足之处。本文从英汉语对比和意与韵的角度分析了其中某些译文的缺陷,同时作者认为该教程在选材方面与时代发展的需要存在一定的差距,亟待改进。
A Course In English - Chinese Translation , edited by professor Zhang Peiji, has served as an excellent translation textbook since its appearance. In the meanwhile, some flaws cannot be ignored. Some translations can be improved from the point of view of contrast between Chinese and English and integration of meaning and style. Furthermore, some new materials are necessary to meet the needs of the new age.
