运筹学 (OperationsResearch ,简称OR)是一门典型的技术科学学科 ,5 0多年的发展历程经历了一战时期的萌芽、二战时期的兴起、二战以后的蓬勃发展。
The more-than-50-year evolution of Operations Research, a typical technological science, is thoroughly reviewed in this article. It is divided into 4 historical phases: rudiment in World War Ⅰ, rise in World War Ⅱ, flourish after World War Ⅱ, and decline after 1970's. This article discusses both the social and historical background and the roots of OR's development in each phase.
