The characteristics of VK69 catalyst and application in a sulphuric acid plant where the fourth catalyst bed is half stuffed with VK69 catalyst are introduced. VK69 catalyst shows high activity in the practice, which ensures a sulphur dioxide concentration of 0. 025% at the fourth bed outlet when the inlet sulphur dioxide concentration is 1. 21%.
