The characters of geometric model and relation between the prismatic form turning tool and work-piece is analyzed?Based on 3D model, a new and precise method of designing cutter profile is built; By constructing a parametric model and integrating CAD and CAM, A form tool can be redesigned and manufactured rapidly and accurately. a whole design and manufacturing procedure is introduced at last.
