西部大开发对西部城市化进程是一个难得的历史机遇 ,实施西部城市形象战略 ,有助于西部城市综合竞争力的提前 ,从而带动西部社会经济的全面发展。实施西部城市形象战略 ,应遵循当前城市发展的一些原则 ,结合西部城市各自的特点 ,走创新之路。
The development of Western China is a golden historical opportunity for urbaniza tion in the West, and implementing image strategy in Western cities will contrib ute to the comprehensive competitiveness of Western cities and thus promote the social and economic development in the West as a whole. In order to implement im age strategy in Western cities, it is essential to follow some principles in the current urban development and take innovative approaches in light of their resp ective characteristics.
