含向列液晶交联剂的液晶弹性体液晶性能 被引量:6

Mesomorphic Properties of Liquid Crystalline Elastomers with Nematic Cross-Linking Agent

摘要 把向列液晶交联剂 4 (ω 烯丙酰氧基己氧基 )苯甲酸 2 叔丁基 1,4 二酚酯和胆甾液晶单体 4 烯丙氧基苯甲酸胆甾醇酯接枝到含氢硅氧烷链上 ,交联剂的质量分数由 0至 12 %,得到系列液晶弹性体P1~P7·通过热分析、偏光显微分析等手段研究了向列液晶交联剂对弹性体液晶性能的影响·结果表明 ,P1~P7都有液晶性能 ,均为胆甾液晶织构 ,系列液晶弹性体的tg 随交联剂在链中浓度增加而降低 ,ti 变化不大 ,具有较宽的液晶区间 ,在 182℃以上·交联剂质量分数为 2 %时 ,即从P4 开始弹性增加 ,当交联剂的质量分数大于 8%时 ,液晶相存在至热分解温度 ,所有液晶弹性体的热稳定性均较好 ,质量损失 5 %时的热失重温度均在 2 89℃以上· The nematic liquid crystal cross-linking agent 4-(ω-acryloyloxy-hexyloxy)-benzoyl-2-tere-butyl)-1,4-bisphenolic (M N) and cholest-5-en-3-01(3B)-4-(2-propenyloxy) benzoate (M C) were grafted to the backbone of polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS). The liquid crystalline properties of the series of liquid crystalline elastomers P 1~P 7 containing different mole radio of the M N from 0~12% were characterized by thermal analysis and cross-polarized microscopic analysis. All the elastomers exhibit cholesteric texture and have broader liquid crystal range over 182*!℃. It is also shown that the t g decreases with increasing mole radio of M N in the polymers. The elastic behavior of the polymers is increased by the sequence of P 4~P 7. Especially, both P 6 and P 7 have no t i. The liquid crystalline behavior disappears until the thermal decomposition temperature as the M N is over 8%. The thermal stability of the polymers are very good up to 289*!℃ with only 5% weight lost.
