摘要
关于社区异质性对社区社会资本的影响,“威胁论”强调异质性通过冲突、失范等机制损害社区公共性,“接触论”则认为异质性通过促进群际接触、增加居民间的人际信任进而孕育出社区社会网络。社区异质性的效应因社会文化背景、社区社会资本的不同维度以及社区成员的社会经济特征而有所不同。在当前中国社会,文化因素的社区异质性所导致的居住隔离程度较低;而诸如户籍、流动人口、收入差距等社会结构性因素所导致的居住隔离程度则较为明显。制度环境尤其是纵向协调起引领作用的基层社会治理,有可能消解社区异质性的消极效应,并在一定程度上促成社区社会资本的生成。社区异质性是社区治理的重要影响因素。
Scholarly debates on the relationship between community heterogeneity and social capital have largely revolved around two competing perspectives.The threat perspective posits that heterogeneity erodes community publicness by generating intergroup tensions and the exacerbation of social anomie.In contrast,the contact perspective argues that heterogeneity may enhance community social networks by increasing opportunities for intergroup interaction and cultivating interpersonal trust.The effects of community heterogeneity are contingent upon sociocultural contexts,the specific dimensions of community social capital examined,and the socioeconomic status of community members.In contemporary Chinese society,residential segregation caused by cultural factors of community heterogeneity is relatively low.However,residential segregation resulting from social structural factors such as household registration,migrant population,and income gaps is quite prominent.The institutional environment—especially grassroots social governance led by vertical coordination—may mitigate the negative effects of community heterogeneity and to a certain extent facilitate the formation of community social capital.Community heterogeneity is a key influencing factor in community governance.
