摘要
既有游戏研究已经注意到电子游戏在跨文化传播中发挥重要作用,中国数字游戏在国际传播语境下,已成长为富有全球影响力的媒介形式之一。为理解全球化游戏生态的变化,本研究引入服务型游戏作为核心概念,阐释中国数字游戏如何通过全球化数字运营(游戏化)获取海内外玩家的认可,影响现实交往关系的机制。从游戏出海的实践路径看,服务型游戏具有类型化、可观看、重社交的传播特征,通过游戏化确立“游戏即平台”的理念,为游戏文化输出提供传播路径保障。但也需要注意,采用长线运营的模式,服务型游戏有过度依赖平台关系来统摄数字游戏生态发展的风险。中国游戏出海需要以内容创新作为第一动力,为全球游戏玩家勾勒更加美好的“数字未来”。
Existing game studies have recognized the significant role of video games in cross-cultural communication.Within the context of international communication,Chinese digital games have grown into one of the most globally influential media forms.To understand the evolving global gaming ecosystem,this paper introduces“Service Oriented Games”as a core concept to explain how Chinese digital games gain recognition from players both domestically and abroad through globalized digital operations,and the mechanisms through which they influence realworld social interactions.From the perspective of the practical pathways of games going global,Service Oriented Games exhibit communicative characteristics of being genre-based,watchable,and emphasizing social interaction.By establishing the“game as a platform”concept through gamification,they provide a pathway for cultural output through games.However,it is also important to note that,as a model of long-term operation,Service Oriented Games carry the risk of over-relying on platform relationships to dominate the development of the digital game ecosystem.For Chinese games to succeed globally,content innovation must be the primary driver,outlining a more promising“digital future”for gamers worldwide.
