This study examines the case of the multi-story Hakka rammed-earth dwellings in Nanzhong Village,Yongding,Fujian,to explore how craftsmen, without the support of modern knowledge systems, achieve the progressive evolution of architectural structures through the inheritance of craftsmanship and accumulation of experience. The article focuses on the construction phenomenon of"Inward-tilting Enclosing Wall"and reveals the evolution of construction techniques through field surveys, empirical verification, and anthropological interviews. The study premises its inquiry on the construction-oriented research question concerning the holistic structure and building process, conducting a localized investigation through an approach rooted in anthropological surveys of traditional craftsmen's practices. It thereby emphasizes that systematic anthropological research into artisans'skills not only contributes to understanding traditional construction within local knowledge systems, but also provides foundational support for its contemporary preservation, transformation, revitalization, and reinterpretation.
