摘要
气候变化的复杂性加剧了气候政策的不确定性,企业也会受到气候政策不确定性的影响。文章使用2010—2023年我国A股上市公司样本,探讨了气候政策不确定性对我国企业污染转移的影响。研究发现,气候政策不确定性能够显著影响企业的污染转移。此外,气候政策不确定性会通过管理层规避风险的倾向以及企业高昂的环境成本影响企业的污染转移。异质性检验表明,在极端天气变化多的地区、具有功能链接以及ESG披露较好的企业中更为显著。本研究为我国的企业污染转移提供了实证证据,并强调了气候政策在指导企业污染控制决策中的关键作用。最后,文章从气候政策制定和企业污染管理等方面提出建议,为我国气候政策的制定和企业可持续发展提供了理论支持和实践依据。
This study examines the impact of climate policy uncertainty on corporate pollution transfer in China using a sample of China’s A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2023.The study identifies that climate policy uncertainty can significantly influence companies’pollution transfer.In addition,the study finds that the management’s biases to avoid risks,and the high environmental cost are the potential mechanisms.The heterogeneous tests indicate that the effect of climate policy uncertainty is more profound in companies in regions with changing temperatures,function-linked companies,and companies with better environmental management capacities.This study provides empirical evidence on pollution transfer by Chinese companies and emphasizes the critical role of climate policies in guiding companies’pollution control decisions.It provides valuable insights for developing stable,effective,and targeted climate policies at both corporate and regional levels.
