摘要
通过对赤壁土城城外王家岭和花园岭墓地出土器物的类型学分析,本文将墓地划分为三期七段,墓地年代上限可提早至春秋晚期早段,下限亦不晚于战国晚期早段。两墓地墓主拥有共同的楚文化传统,属于楚人内部的若干不同家族或其分支,其生前居住于土城城内,死后在城外各自以族为单位进行分区集群埋葬,同时部分人群之间亦可能存在某种地缘关系。土城战国城址作为楚国战国早中期设在湘鄂边界的一座地方城邑,其城址的修筑及城外诸墓地的发现反映了这一时期楚国对鄂东南及其以南地区的开发与经略过程。
Through a typological analysis of artifacts unearthed from the Wangjialing and Huayuanling cemeteries outside the Tucheng site in Chibi,this paper divides the use of these cemeteries into three phases and seven sub-phases.The initial use of the cemeteries can be dated to the early stage of the late Spring and Autumn period,while their final use extends no later than the early stage of the late Warring States period.The occupants of both cemeteries shared a common Chu cultural tradition and belonged to several different clans or their branches within the Chu populace.They likely resided within the Tucheng settlement during their lifetimes and were buried in separate,clustered zones outside the city walls after death,organized by clan units,though some geographic connections between different groups may also have existed.The construction of the Tucheng walled settlement during the Warring States period—a local town established by the Chu state at the Hunan-Hubei border during the early and middle Warring States period—along with the discovery of these associated cemeteries,reflects the Chu state's process of territorial expansion and administration into southeastern Hubei and regions further south during this period.
