摘要
中医中的消渴病通常指现代医学中的糖尿病。我国古代医学典籍《黄帝内经》中即有关于消渴病的相关记载。《黄帝内经》中与消渴相关的病名有十个,本文选取三个与糖尿病关系最为密切的消渴病病名,即脾瘅、消渴、消瘅,比较分析其在李照国译本、文树德译本和倪茂信译本中的译文,发现并总结消渴相关病名乃至中医病名术语的英译方法,即“音译+临床表现+意译”的译词模式。此方法保留中医内涵及文化属性的同时注重临床意义的诠释,实现原文信息的最大化传递,并帮助英语读者准确理解原文信息,为中医文化及中医研究成果的国际传播减少一些因翻译产生的阻碍。
Xiaoke disease in traditional Chinese medicine is usually regarded as diabetes in modern medicine.Records about Xiaoke disease had already appeared in the TCM classic Huangdi Neijing.There are ten names related to Xiaoke disease,and three closest to diabetes(Pidan,Xiaoke,Xiaodan)are chosen for translation comparison and analysis,and the"transliteration+clinical manifestation+free translation"pattern is thus proposed to translate the Xiaoke-relevant names or other disease names in TCM.In this way,the TCM connotations are contained while clinical meanings are helpful for English readers to understand the names better.Hopefully TCM culture and research findings could be better spread globally with less translation obstacles.
